About Us
I started making bows for my Maltese,
Lady, almost five years ago.
I wasn't happy with the quality of most of the bows available then, and found myself constantly having to repair them
- glued on embellishments fell off, bows lost their shape quickly, or cheap quality bands broke easily.
And because I wanted to build a "bow wardrobe", my bows would need to be made to last. I used only heavy duty
"button and craft"
thread. Each bead or embellishment was hand-sewn onto each bow. I used only the best quality, grooming bands. I tried
many different brands of fabric stiffener until I found one that would last and last and then applied three coats on each bow.
The result was the bow I make today; one that lasts, keeps its shape and not fall apart!
I am proud to say that years later, Lady still has the first bows I made for her. They have
exceeded my expectations.
They are just as nice today as when they were brand new.
Here is a picture of one of the
first bows I made for
Lady
.
It's, also, one of
my most popular.
Friends soon started asking me to make bows for them, and then suggested I start selling them. Several local boutiques
began carrying my bows. They were a big hit! I then began selling them online and M'Lady's Dog Bows was born.
I suggest you keep your bows in a plastic compartment box to keep them safe and dust free. Look in the bead section of
any craft store to find them. If you care for them properly, your
M'Lady's Dog Bows
will last for a long, long time.
One of my passions is making custom bows to match dresses and outfits. Please let me know if you would like me to
design a special bow for your furbaby.
Happy shopping!
